Metal Convertibility was founded with a single mission: move to a world of privately created money with real backing, utilizing a basket of commodities, such as gold, silver or aluminum – which would be exchanged in digital form. Our founder, Dr. Richard W. Rahn, proposed that the commodity most appropriate would be aluminum given its widespread distribution, high degree of consumer and industrial utility, and recyclability.
